Refinements, considerations, and final renders of Laser Cut coasters

From the Thumbnails, knowing that we were doing Laser Cutting, I wanted to do the Cage coaster idea however switch up it. I like the idea of having a roof for my drink. I also wanted to give engravings a shot. So I decided to design a little gazebo coaster, it has a stand and roof to cover your drink. Yeah it takes some space on your desk for a dedicated spot for your yummy drink.
Sketch Plans, sketching the panels and layers.

Modeling in Rhino-- it was fun to use the Mirror command and have rounded curves to make the engraving designs. I struggled a lot with accidently being stuck in the middle of a command, and then making things copy and move. Finding that there were constant open curves and duplicates was the struggle. I was able to get it in the end, and started extruding the curves to solids to make my render. I decided to use Plywood because I thought it would look natural and classy, and the engravings would look great on it.

Layers for Laser Cutting-- they're separated in their own color layers, ready for a look over before printing!
Renders of Coaster-- I played around with PointLight and to define the depths and details of my coaster. I love the Move command, saves so much time and watching it perfectly snap in space with Osnap is super fun and satisfying.
